Countdown to Mother's Day! 1 Week to go!

As I was creating a title for this post, it dawned on me that I have been mis-representing the time left until Mother's Day! If I were to follow the time frame set in my last posts, then it would be 2 weeks left, but in FACT, there is only a week and a couple of days!!

I suppose I am not too stressed about this fact as I have the day planned out in advance...

1.  Relax in bed as long as possible - which means until Sweetums (my Yorkie) wakes me up or we move on to the next item in the list...
2. Enjoy breakfast, served to me by my youngest daughter (13) on a lovely tray with flowers.  I am thinking freshly baked muffins with a side of fruit?!
3. Linger in the bath with 'Spa' warming in the background and relaxing me. (I've got this one covered)
4. Head out the door just before noon to my newly vacuumed and detailed car (19 year old son will surely have this planned out!) 
5. Take a leisurely drive to my Mom's house and have a late afternoon visit and snack. (food is a very important part of the day!)
6. Give my Mom her present of floral ScentSationals fragrances and a Butterfly Plug In Warmer. (and enjoy her praise that her bouquet will last for weeks, oh what a smart daughter I am!!)
7. Head home (where my Daughter will delightfully be waiting with my now 6 month old Grandbaby) and enjoy the evening while hubby bbqs, the sun sets, and I give thanks for the family surrounding me.

SCREECHING HALT!!!  lol!! Yes, I know that this list is pretty much a fantasy. The reality is:

1. Hop out of bed at the crack of dawn to let both Sweetums and our Schnauzer (Izzy) out. 
2. Wake up my 13 year old daughter and remind her that it's Mother's Day.
3. Have a quick shower with 'Spa' warming in the background and relaxing me. (SEE! I'm not completely delusional about the day!)
4. Go put gas in my messy car.
5. Fight traffic on the way to my Mom's house only to find out that she has already gone for brunch with my Sister.
6. Give my Mom her present of ScentSationals fragrances and a Butterfly Plug In Warmer. (I know she will LOVE it, this is another sure thing for the day!)
7. Head home and fire up the bbq while hubby falls asleep on the couch and the mayhem of home welcomes me back into it's fold! 

What's your day going to be like? My hope for everyone, regardless of the house being full of children, furry friends or maybe you are alone, is that you remember to take a minute, and celebrate yourself!
